Despite what the weather in New York would have you believe, it’s nearly July. And since this blog is all about “mytwothousandnine,” I think this would be a good time as any to do a six month review.
The highlights:
- Took hand-painted mousetraps from a half-baked idea to a half-baked LLC
- Pest Control Technology , Insects in the City, and Examiner.com agreed
- Met the goal of running the Broad Street Run 10 minutes faster than 2008
- One-upped myself and ran the Brooklyn Half-Marathon
- Got promoted
The low lights:
- Sat through a date where the man showed up with cat drool on his sweater (thanks eHarmony!)
- Spent roughly $700 in two weeks on iPhones (yes, plural – thanks New York Sports Club petty thieves!)
- May or may not be able to manage the triathlon swim within the next month
- Timed my Mexico vacation in conjunction with a swine flu outbreak
- Can’t manage to get excited for more than 10 minutes at a time about any major accomplishment
All in all, it’s bee a good ride. If the rest of the year is anything like the last six months, there’s sure to be a few more wins and a few more losses. Hopefully, they’ll balance out – and if they don’t, at least you can’t say I didn’t try.
