This past weekend, my extended family got together for their annual 4th of July picnic.
I did not attend – I was busy convincing myself (and others) that attending a family wedding last month fulfills my obligation to go to Pennslvania for the rest of the summer.
In my absence, however, my parents and my brother seemed to plug Mousesnaps, our hand-painted designer mousetraps, to anyone who would listen.
I base this on the following:
- My Mousesnaps page views have gone up by about 270% in the past two days.
- My cousin in Florida told me so.
I was also told that my brother and his girlfriend won second place in this year’s egg toss (it’s exactly what you think it is), and I’d just like to remind everyone that my ex-boyfriend and I came in second place LAST YEAR and it wouldn’t kill anyone to REMEMBER THAT.
But that’s not really the point, I guess, because I should just be thankful that everyone seems pretty jazzed on the Mousesnaps. And let’s face it, if we can get half the family to Google ”hand-painted mousetraps” and click their way through the store, that’s a major win. In fact, I’d say it’s better than a second place egg toss trophy.
But who’s keeping track?
Besides me, I mean.
